Our therapeutic ponies and horses are the heart and soul of our Equine Facilitated Learning centre. They all come from a rescue background, knowing some of the distress we can all encounter in life. They will take on the role of friend, life coach,  teacher, companion, collaborator and supporter. Bringing them back to and then maintaining their full health and condition is a really important part of our work.

The cost of keeping and caring for one therapeutic equine continues to rise and as we live on an island we have high transport costs adding to feed and supply bills. Their maintenance costs include veterinary fees, medication and ongoing treatment, feed supplements,  Farrier (foot care), Equine dentists, Specific tack and equipment, ongoing staff and volunteer training and general care for the herd.

You can become a sponsor to support the horses, ponies and our work here providing essential assistance to our local island community.

There are three levels of sponsorship for individuals or groups where you can choose the level of support you wish to offer. We also have a corporate sponsorship option whereby businesses can opt to sponsor the whole costs for a year for one equine. Lastly there is a gift sponsorship option for you to give the gift of caring for the horses and ponies.

We welcome sponsorship from individuals, schools, work groups, businesses, families, groups of friends, community groups and we’ve tried to offer different levels to suit every budget. You can choose your favourite member of the herd to sponsor any of the horses and ponies as an individual, as a family, as a group, as a gift for someone or in honour of a loved one. All we ask is that you commit to support your sponsorship equine for a full year which helps us to provide all they need.

• Highland (Gold)
• Eriskay (Silver)
• Shetland (Bronze)

Business sponsors, grant makers or charitable bodies can choose this option to support one equine for a full year to receive recognition on our website and social media pages and as a great promotional instrument for your business.

• Clydesdale  (Platinum)

Are welcome at any time for any amount via Paypal although they do take a percentage for this service.  

A gift donation of £50 can be made for someone and can be acknowledged by a birthday, anniversary, special occasion or acknowledgement card featuring the herd of horses and ponies here in the Isle of Lewis.  

All we ask is you make the donation then email equi.innsesgall@gmail.comwith full details for the recipients name and address with the senders contact details. It is essential to order these a week before they should arrive due to island postal and transport services.

Those who choose Clydesdale, Highland, Eriskay or Shetland sponsorship levels and live in the Western isles or visit regularly please ask us about our membership benefits over and above sponsorship benefits. Sponsors here automatically become members.

Member benefits aim to support your health and holistic wellness and include fitness, relaxation and other options in line with our aims to be a resource for our islands and communities. We will also be providing some local sponsor and supporter days with various activities on offer.
