All about Iceman
Iceman has a huge presence, is quite bold but he can jump at his own shadow! We discovered his forelock covering his face completely was not helping him as he wasn't seeing things clearly. When he arrived he could not be separated from Merida, his pair bond. During 2025 he has had his mane and forelock hogged and is now less jumpy and skittish becoming a steady member of the herd and being brought back into riding once again with the help of our friend Elsa.
In the past he was a working stallion, gelded late in life so when he is not where he wants to be he will still do his Stallion Dance resembling a prancing pony practising fancy dressage moves!
Iceman is true and steady, sometimes a contradiction in himself but he wants human contact and will spend hours in reciprocal interaction. His place in the herd is now that of a senior gelding, he keeps the younger boys in order is never very far from Merida but independent enough of her to be able to go out hacking with Rory.
